Welding & Fabrication

We are able to undertake all forms of high rise shot blasting, painting, welding & fabricating, along with any parts that may be required.

This is only one of the numerous rope access services that 3D Access is able to offer to all of our clients, right across the UK.

Welding on top of a tall building is never an easy task. High up in the air, suspended by a rope, any rope access welder task can be daunting for almost anyone. Our experience of work at altitude means we’re not phased by it, so the we’re able to focus all of our concentration on getting the high rise welding or other high rise work done. Our Rope Access teams are able to access even the most awkward of high-altitude locations, places where no crane, scissor lift or ladder could reach, like the bottom of an oil rig.

Rope access can be a lot cheaper than using scaffolding, or hiring a scissor lift. Scissor lifts are expensive to run, & often have limits on how high they can go. The cost of scaffolding can be equally as bad – you need a lot of scaffolding to be able to reach high places, which can become extremely expensive. There’s even a possibility that a strong wind current could blow the entire scaffolding over, injuring & potentially killing large numbers of workers.

The techniques we use are similar to the traditional methods of rope access, except rather than using a traditional bosun’s chair, like the late great steeplejack Fred Dibnah, we use modern safety harnesses & climbing equipment, which are safer & will prevent injury caused failing equipment.

If you would like any more information with regards to any maintenance work you may require doing then please feel free to contact us. We’ll be more than happy to help you.
